about

“Death on the Highway” is one of my acoustic singer/songwriter compositions backed by a lush atmospheric arrangement. The lyrics are a nihilistic meditation that are apocalyptic in nature. This work is what I describe as a “Nightmare Ballad.” It will lull you into a sleep that will produce a fitful slumber. “Death on the Highway” is my final single to be released in 2020.

lyrics

I know you... you betrayed your own kind
Turn your back on your son if you had one
Left me standing here so alone
I can still see myself in the blackness of your eyes

I've seen a lot of things that make me sick
People always tell me things are for the best
Tell that to my friend that died on the highway
I'm just sick and tired of breathing

Don't tell me I'm wrong

I've tried hard to believe in something
Now I've betrayed my deepest convictions
Sorry I can see through all these transparencies
I guess nothing ever did mean anything
